Hey there, lovebirds! I’m Maddi, the face, heart, and dancefloor enthusiast behind Married by Maddi and I’m so glad you’re here.

So, I thought I’d pull back the curtain and share a little about who I am, how I landed in the world of weddings, and what I bring to the most magical part of your day: the ceremony.
✨ Why I Became a Marriage Celebrant
You know those moments in life where something just clicks? Becoming a celebrant was one of those for me. It started as a casual chat with a friend, and turned into a “wait why wouldn’t I do that?!” realisation. I’ve always been the person who gets way too emotional during vows, who loves hearing people’s stories, and who feels totally at home with a mic in hand.
Before celebrancy, I worked in interior design and project management—which might sound like a big switch, but honestly, those jobs gave me the skills I now use every single day as a celebrant:

✔️ An eye for detail (and the perfect ceremony setting, of course!)
But the biggest driver? I love people. I love love. And I truly believe your ceremony should be the part of the day you remember most not the bit you rush through to get to the drinks.

I work with you to create a ceremony that feels like your relationship on its best day. That might mean:

There’s no script and definitely no awkward, cookie-cutter stuff. My ceremonies are inclusive, warm, and wildly personal, always filled with good vibes (and probably a few happy tears).

I’m 33, Melbourne based, and totally obsessed with my own fiancé (yep wedding planning empathy mode: activated!)
I live in the south-eastern suburbs with a big heart for travel, storytelling, and spontaneous weekend getaways
I’m a sucker for sunsets, house plants, and a solid rom-com
I always believe that positive energy attracts positive people and I bring that into every ceremony I deliver
