Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to all ceremony services provided by Married by Maddi (the Celebrant).
1. Appointment of Celebrant
Once the Celebrant is formally appointed, they agree to attend and conduct the ceremony at the agreed time, date, and location.
2. Legal Responsibilities
The Celebrant agrees to fulfil all legal obligations relevant to the ceremony. In the case of a marriage, this includes:
Lodging the required legal documents,
Using the prescribed forms,
Meeting all required timeframes under Australian law.
3. Inability to Attend
If the Celebrant becomes unable to conduct the ceremony for any reason:
The parties will be notified as soon as possible.
Every reasonable effort will be made to arrange for another authorised marriage celebrant to officiate the ceremony.
4. Fees & Payment
The client agrees to:
Pay the Celebrant’s fee as outlined in the provided quote and invoice.
Pay a non-refundable deposit to confirm the booking and secure the date.
Pay the remaining balance in full:
No later than one month prior to the ceremony date;
Via direct deposit or another method agreed in writing with the Celebrant.
If full payment is not received by the due date:
The booking will be cancelled,
The ceremony date will be released,
The Celebrant will not attend the ceremony.
5. Cancellations
Cancellations must be provided in writing.
The booking fee and any other amounts already paid will be retained by the Celebrant and are non-refundable.
6. Use of PA System
If the Celebrant’s PA system is used:
The Celebrant will ensure it is fully charged, functional, and tested prior to the ceremony.
The client acknowledges that equipment can malfunction, and in the event of any failure before, during, or after the ceremony, the Celebrant will not be held liable.
